Sr. Director, Industrial Vertical Print

VOLT is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Executive, with a proven track record of success in business-to-business sales and skills that support business planning and setting up teams and creating solid processes to prospect, close and grow new business in select market segments.

In this role the candidate will assess potential markets, key market influencers, leading systems integrators, and orchestrate the creation of winning offerings for the select market and application segments. This role will require high energy and self-motivation, constantly challenging the organization to support this group’s business goals.

The successful candidate should have previous experience managing interdisciplinary teams of sales, marketing, services professionals in complex technology integration projects. Must be familiar with quantitative marketing, demand generation processes and tools, complex technology project pricing and proposals and be highly skilled in sales negotiations.

This position is based in Dallas, Texas area and will manage some sales professionals in remote locations. The candidate will have more than 10 years’ experience in the marketing and sales of technology solutions to the retail segment and some experience in the printing solutions business.


  • Prepare business plan to develop the IVP (Industry Vertical Print) offerings, systems and solutions business in multiple Retail sub-segments
  • Manage Sales, Marketing, Professional Services and Solutions teams with vision of IVP Sales Revenue, Margins and Profit growth
  • Create a solution provider partner program, development and recruitment plan
  • Manage marketing team in demand generation programs to improve business pipeline, partner engagements, sales closing rates
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Identify new potential market sub-segments and print applications with a systems integration sales approach
  • Engage, as necessary, in business meetings with prospective clients’ and solution partners’ decision makers
  • Promote the company’s products/services/solutions addressing or predicting clients’ business objectives in consultative manner
  • Give inputs to proposals and sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines and minimizing company risks and exposures
  • Have excellent communications skills
  • Be capable of building long-term relationships with new and existing customers, with industry peers and influencers
  • Manage and develop directly reporting personnel


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or relevant field
  • Post-Graduation in Marketing or Services related fields


  • Excess of 10 years developing technology solutions business in the retail environment
  • Business development manager, sales executive, new business unit manager or similar role with P&L responsibility
  • Experience in systems integration and services contracts, deployment and SLAs negotiations
  • Experience with printing technologies  


  • Highly skilled in business analysis, P&L analysis. Measurement and ROI report.
  • Strong client-facing presentational skills and ability to explain complex technical solutions and business value to customers
  • Proven sales and successful project implementation track record
  • Experience in customer support and project management is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Communication and negotiation skills
