We are looking to hire a Senior Engineer Program Manager (Silicon/ Pre-Silicon) to work for our Client in Markham, ON for approximately a 6 months' assignment with the possibility of extension, through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • Title: Senior Engineer Program Manager (Silicon/ Pre-Silicon) 
  • Term: 6 months with the possibility of extension
  • Location: Markham, ON L3T7X6
  • Pay Rate: $46.10 – 56.74/hr (T4) (T4) + benefits available
  • Shift: Day Shift Monday to Friday at 37.5 hours paid time per week + working some off peak hours to support different time zones as needed

Manager Requirements for the Selected Candidate:

  • Be able to support different time zones.
  • Have Silicon or pre Silicon planning experience and execution experience (Top choice)
  • Have a Drive and project experience to manage cross-functional projects
  • Experience working with supply chain and design engineers, such that it is an end-to-end job function SDLC
  • Can align to the program requirements
  • The Selected Candidate needs to only understand the technical function of the role. It requires managing programs, budgets, schedules, etc.

THE ROLE: We are seeking a Program Manager for the GPU Product Engineering Team in Markham. This is a great opportunity to use your silicon production experience to define and manage key product deliverables/schedules and drive cross-functional activities.

THE PERSON: The successful candidate has outstanding presentation and delivery skill--and is comfortable collaborating with all levels and org functions. They are a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Program Manager will be responsible for pre-silicon planning. Once silicon arrives, he/she will drive customer samples execution and high volume manufacturing readiness.
  • Managing horizontally across several functional organizations is a key job function.
  • The role will require working hand-in-hand with our Asia engineering counterparts, extensive interactions within the product engineering organization, and interacting with several other internal organizations (design, supply chain, marketing, platform).

IDEAL CANDIDATE WLL HAVE:

  • Experience w/ taking ASICs, GPUs, or CPUs from 1st Silicon to volume production
  • Experience working in a team environment and actively driving solution
  • Experience in communicating and coordinating across multiple internal functional organizations (Engineering – US and abroad, Supply Management, Finance)
  • Background in Silicon Program Management or PMP Course Completion
  • Background in Solid State Physics, Computer Architecture, Digital or Analog Design
  • Background in Product Engineering or Test Engineering
  • Degree: BSEE, BSCE, MSEE, MSCE or equivalent (6 years post-grad experience).
