Leadership experience?

At least 5 years of progressive experience w/ AutoCAD and industry codes like ASME, ISO, and API 650?

Job Description: Under the general supervision and direction of the V.P. of Engineering, work within a team environment to design and process projects from initial customer contact and bidding through final completion.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a through technical understanding of the company’s products, and of the engineering department’s design practices
  • Correspond with customers and agents worldwide to develop a design that will satisfy the customer’s needs
  • Design specific details, using standardized parts and patterns whenever possible, to accomplish the desired objectives of the project
  • Produce approval packages, material bills, job specific drawings, erection packages, and necessary correspondence with the customer and others to insure the satisfactory completion of the project
  • Assist in developing and/or improving details and accessories for the existing products and/or new product lines
  • Provide technical support to the sales department.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Degreed Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineer from an accredited college with at least 5 years of civil/ structural/ mechanical design experience.
  • Licensed PE preferred, but not required
  •  Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Must have knowledge of ASME, ISO, ASTM and API 650 codes
  • Capable of working with and alongside of superiors and subordinates
  • Quality oriented but with a sense of urgency when necessary to satisfy the demands of the project and customer
  • Able to work on multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Construction experience or other hands-on experience beneficial.
