Job Title:             Senior Maintenance Planner

Status:                 Direct Hire

Job Location:     Philadelphia, PA

Volt has a wonderful direct hire opportunity with one of our clients in Philadelphia, PA. This opening is with a leader in chemical manufacturing.

Job Summary

This is a working role to lead the maintenance planning function in a hazardous chemical manufacturing facility.  This position will set expectations and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance and capital tasks in accordance with the company’s Maintenance Excellence Principles. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning of maintenance, capital and year-round turnaround activities
  • Assure consistent quality of work planning packages through setting of standards, auditing and holding accountability to those standards
  • Assure consistent and effective use of planning tools, e.g. SAP, Meridium, etc.
  • Provide training, mentoring and coaching for the Planning group
  • Assure site planning and scheduling processes follow the criteria as established by the organization.
  • Provide technical support to the maintenance execution group on an as needed basis based on Subject Matter Expertise related to plant equipment and systems
  • Provide project management support as needed for critical repairs and/or special activities
  • Responsible for the safe and proper management and handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with plant requirements.
  • Participate in all aspects of the organization’s Operating Systems
  • Champion of MOMWP Planning Principles 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of planning and scheduling for day to day, capital and Turnaround Planning in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CMMS - SAP preferable, Tabware, Maximo, etc. acceptable
  • Knowledge of the Maintenance Excellence Principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and requirements in a hazardous chemical environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop robust solutions
  • Ability to lead and influence others to the highest level of performance as a team and individual
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions in an industrial environment.
  • Must be very well organized and knowledgeable in the concepts and application of the Honeywell Operating System
