*Senior Finance Manager*

The Job:

As the Senior Manager of Finance and Accounting,  you will ensure financial compliance and reporting integrity, reinforce internal controls, make sure that financial reports are accurate and timely, and lead and develop your team. You’ll be a change agent – drive process improvements, leverage new and existing technologies, provide expert advice, and challenge us to be even better. This is an onsite position, reporting to the Vice President of Finance.  Once the pandemic is over, you will work onsite most days.

  • Lead a team of 5 – coach them to reach their highest potential
  • Oversee preparation of month end close and reporting of results
  • Maintain effective financial reporting processes and tools
  • Oversee preparation of forecasts, annual operating plan, strategic planning and key analytics     
  • Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls
  • Make sure that we adhere to GAAP
  • Work with key leaders to make sure that all applicable federal, state and local laws are followed
  • Provide support for acquisitions
  • Partner with other departments to lead value engineering and cost reduction initiatives
  • Work with our IT department on automation of processes and adoption of new technologies to help leverage the power of data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field is required; MBA or other advanced degree or certifications are highly desired
  • 5+ years in similar roles
    • Cost Accounting Experience
    • Have worked at a publicly traded company
    • Have worked full month end close (cycle)
    • Worked at a Manufacturing Company
    • Experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace
  • Solid technical accounting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to complete coherent monthly analysis to explain variances to budget, prior year or deviation to expected result
  • Hands on experience in data warehouse/power BI projects
  • You must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
