Job Description

Position:         Senior Product Surveillance Associate

Location:        Sturtevant, WI

Status:            3 month contract

This contract is for a great organization that is a global growth-stage medical device company. The organization is privately owned, founded in 2004, and backed by top tier venture capital firms.

The right candidate for this role is someone with product surveillance experience, who can complete all major job duties with minimal supervision, interact professionally orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and healthcare professionals. This position is an integral part of maintaining compliance with global regulations, works independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Field inquiries received by phone, electronic or verbal correspondence and document reported complaints according to applicable SOP(s).
  • Provide technical support and remote troubleshooting guidance as needed.     
  • Review associated records; provide technical guidance, and contact users and customers to collect information on the treatment, product performance, functionality, etc. 
  • Complete investigations, which may include execution or coordination of product returns and subsequent evaluations, review of manufacturing records and ensuring proper approvals are obtained as part of closure. 
  • Conduct statistical analysis of complaint trends.
  • Support investigations associated with product deviations, product non-conformances, CAPAs, scrap and rework, and analyzing the data for the reasons of Quality Improvement and reporting.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is Required; Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Engineering is preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical and scientific terminology
  • Professional etiquette during communications over the phone and in person
  • Ability to read and write English fluently
  • Highly organized
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience and knowledge of global regulatory requirements

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with medical devices
  • Experience in a medical or surgical office
  • Being able to prioritize and manage complaint reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with a database of CRM system
