Volt Workforce Solutions Canada is looking to hire an Senior Silicon Program Manager for our Client in the Semiconductor industry in Markham, ON for approximately a 7 months assignment with the possibility of extension.

Job Description:

  • Role: Senior Silicon Program Manager
  • Client: an American Multinational Semiconductor company
  • Employer: Volt Workforce Solutions Canada

  • Pay Rate: $43.93-58.57/hr (T4)
  • Length of Assignment: 01/13/2020 to 07/12/2020 with the possibility of extension
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week/ 7.5 hours per day

AMD is seeking an Intermediate Silicon Program Manager for the GPU Product Engineering Team in Markham, ON, Canada. This is a great opportunity to use your logistics & silicon production experience to define and manage key product deliverables/schedules and drive cross functional activities.


The successful candidate has outstanding presentation and delivery skill--and is comfortable collaborating with all levels and org functions. They are a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.


  • The Program Manager will be responsible for post silicon execution. Once silicon arrives, he/she will drive customer samples execution and high volume manufacturing readiness.
  • Managing horizontally across several functional organizations is a key job function.
  • The role will require working hand-in-hand with our Asia engineering counterparts, extensive interactions within the product engineering organization, and interacting with several other internal organizations (design, supply chain, marketing, platform).


  • Experience w/ taking ASICs, GPUs, or CPUs from 1st Silicon to volume production
  • Experience with global samples logistics fulfillment.
  • Experience working in a team environment and actively driving solution
  • Experience in communicating and coordinating across multiple internal functional organizations (Engineering – US and abroad, Supply Management, Finance)
  • Must be comfortable working with International counterparts  
  • Must be able to handle a large amount of items with delivery and logistics
  • Experience working with Testers and Logistics teams
  • Must be comfortable working with internal and external customers; the majority of the Customers are internal customers


  • Background in Silicon Program Management or PMP Course Completion
  • Background in Solid State Physics, Computer Architecture, Digital or Analog Design
  • Background in Product Engineering or Test Engineering
  • Degree: BSEE, BSCE, MSEE, MSCE or equivalent (6 years post-grad experience).
