Job Description

This engineer will be responsible for fixing defects and supporting the POC project. As he/she is trained in the current system, this engineer will be responsible for implementation of Signaling, Blackholing Bad Actors, and Alerts.

The Engineer will also be responsible for implementation of Rate-limiting based on TCP header attributes and Rules-based scaling.

MUST HAVE: Networking background, expert C++/C programming, good experience in design, algorithms, networking multi-design and Linux experience. Design driver experience is a plus.

Position Summary 

As a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with other development team members to design and develop software that protects the client’s network
 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute innovative software solutions to protect the client’s Network
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining highly sophisticated software that focuses on delivering fast, reliable and scalable software to a globally distributed system
  • Analyze performance characteristics of applications and contribute solutions to improve performance and scalability

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge in C++
  • Experience with network programming on Linux
  • Strong experience with multi-threaded programming, preferably using Posix threads
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytic skills
  • Solid understanding data structures and algorithms
  • Strong understanding of HTTP and TCP/IP protocols
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with test driven development

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Experience with Python and/or Go
  • Experience troubleshooting with tcpdump and/or WireShark or other advanced tools.

EDUCATION:

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering (MS preferred)
