Job Description

We're looking for a talented Senior Systems Engineer to assist our Data Center and Systems Engineering team in Irvine, California.

Our Senior Systems Engineer provides advanced design and engineering support for data center server systems. This role manages, maintains and supports our global application environments across multiple data centers. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for configuring hardware, software, and design application requirements to meet our enterprise business needs. You will serve as subject matter expert to our network users and communicate with other business units to resolve hardware/software issues and resolve complex technical issues.

Job Description:

  • Demonstrate experience with capacity planning, availability and system management tools
  • Manage multiple projects at any given time with a great attitude
  • Maintain a high customer service level through assisting developers and technical leadership with systems, software applications, and other technical-related issues
  • Manage patch deployment in a heterogeneous server environment
  • Work with large, distributed server environments
  • Work as a subject matter expert and sometimes architect solutions seeing the full cycle impact of support decisions

All we ask is that you have the following skills and experience:

  • 6-8 years’ experience supporting a wide variety of technology solutions
  • Active Directory experience is a must
  • Server provisioning VMware/Citrix experience
  • Windows Clustering with emphasis on clusters for SQL Server
  • Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012/R2 deployment and support
  • Dell Compellent administration
  • DNS/cloud/infrastructure/ email requirements looking at key components, capture, document & put a plan together to transition from point a to b
  • VMware vSphere/vCenter deployment/upgrade/support, especially VMware vSphere 6.5
  • Dell Hardware deployment/support
  • Experience working in a call center environment supporting developers is also a plus
  • Exposure to public cloud helpful (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
