Job Description

Volt is seeking a SharePoint Administrator for our client in Oak Ridge TN. Qualified candidates should have 5 years’ experience providing systems management support for infra-structure services

Job Responsibilities include:

SharePoint systems administration including patching and upgrades, configuration and security, site monitoring, and, performance tuning

Management of the software aspects of the SharePoint environments, both internal and external
Participate and support in design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security
Understand and focus on deployment of these strategies to ensure optimal use of SharePoint technologies and other collaborative resources within the organization
Analysis of sites built in SharePoint 2007 or 2010 to identify scope and upgrade strategy

Execute migration and test results, validating with customer
Effectively work with team members to support defect resolution, production migration, and post production support
Plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off-peak time as required and communicate any downtime to business
Disaster recovery and planning, Change control and configuration management, Fault management and trouble management
Participate in a team level 24x7 on call rotation

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience implementing SharePoint solutions for business needs
2-3 years of experience in configuration and administration of Windows OS, SQL database and IIS

Eligibility for DOE Q clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Understand browser-specific compatibility issues across SharePoint technologies
Strong communications skills; oral and written. Ability to convey ideas to technical and non-technical staff
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
In-depth analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Experience working outside of IT, consulting, developing, and supporting of enterprise applications
Familiarity with ITIL
SharePoint administration skills, including patching, installation, troubleshooting, web part deployment
SharePoint 2013 experience, including search configuration and My Sites
Experience with SharePoint Migrations/Upgrades
Experience with PowerShell for common farm tasks
MS Project Server configuration and administration
Experience maintaining site collections, document libraries, and permissions within SharePoint
General knowledge of web applications, SQL Server relational database, SharePoint design, and Internet protocols
Self-starter that can perform at a high level with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail while working in a diverse team environment
