Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, storing, picking and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works on assignments that are routine in nature.  Normally receives specific instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Pulls, issues material, kits, and packages customer orders for shipment.
  • Effective and efficient shipping of small packages. 
  • Conduct cycle counts and identify discrepancies to Cycle Count Coordinator or Warehouse Manager.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory.
  • Ensures all transactions for inventory movement are completed accurately prior to movement to maintain control and inventory integrity.
  • Handle and move raw materials and finished products using material handling equipment, such as forklift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, safe, and orderly work area. Ensures warehouse is in tour ready condition at all times. 
  • Exercise professional demeanor when dealing with internal customers.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and writing.
  • Ensures that all issues and opportunities are clearly communicated in a timely manner.
  • Meets deadlines and goals as established by department supervisor or manager.
  • Recognizes the impact of own decisions on company, customers, and team members.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to participate in weekend duties as needed.
  • Perform duties of material handler as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent with 1-3 years related experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Comfortable with MS Outlook / email.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work with laptop, desktop computers and handheld scanners.
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience using material handling equipment, such as forklift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated ability to count accurately
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good organizational skills 
  • Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • Requires reading; math; weighing and/or measuring;
  • Requires sitting, walking, talking, and hearing
  • Requires close, distant, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception
  • Ability to work in warehouse/manufacturing environment that could require lifting up to 50 pounds approximately 150 times/day and standing/walking 6 to 8 hours a day
  • May be required to work non-standard hours, such as holidays, nights/weekends and be available “on-call” for emergencies. 
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment; noise within acceptable safety levels
