Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is actively recruiting for a healthcare company located near Cypress, CA. 

The incumbent will work within their manufacturing department as a SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK. 

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Verifies the accuracy of the data and initiates corrections when needed
  • Coordinates special shipping and handling request with the shipping department
  • Affixes shipping labels, identifying information, and shipping instructions onto packed cartons or containers, as required
  • Ensures completion of daily shipping reports, asset entry 
  • Verifies accuracy of shipping notices, bill of lading, invoices, order and other records
  • Prepares bills of lading and maintains documentation of goods shipped
  • Communicates inventory of shipping and material and supplies
  • Performs all warehouse activity monitoring any discrepancies
  • Performs daily cycle count program, and reconciling variances
  • Prepares all domestic and international shipments
  • Promoting the adherence to quality standard
  •  Participate in year-end inventory
  • Complete assignments in Lean Center

Requirements:

  • Requires a high school education or equivalent
  • Ideally, 1+ years of related and/or transferable experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in an ISO registered facility (highly desired)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (Office, Excel, etc...) and Computers
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Knowledge of state and federal requirements (ideally)  

Specific Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend English documents such as work instructions, test procedures, and department procedures
  • Read & understand safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information (verbal, written and electronically
  • Data entry experience
