Job Description

VOLT has an immediate opening for a Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate located in Livermore, CA. We are looking for an experienced Warehouseman to manage daily warehouse record keeping and shipping/receiving operations. You will be the one to ensure receivables are properly documented, items are put away in their correct place and finished orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner and inventory is managed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all important documents, i.e., advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
  • Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Operates the wrapping machine.
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the order.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years warehouse experienced
  • Sit-down and stand-up forklift operation
  • Attention to detail
  • Very strong computer skills
  • Inventory Management
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with Bill of Ladings and Manifest
  • Ability to work overtime, approx. 50+ hours a week
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, this includes drug-screen and 7 year history criminal check.

Start Time: 5:30am, Mon-Fri, OT on Saturdays as needed
