Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is partnering with a large distribution company in search of a dynamic Routing Supervisor.


  • Supervise DC routing team.  Responsible for employee development and performance management.
  • Support all outbound logistics and transportation related activities, in support of wholesale and DTC.
  • Ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to maximize sales, market share and profit for the company and customer.
  • Provide support to Operations, Forecasting, DTC, Distribution and Customer Service teams.
  • Support routing for all deliveries to retail stores to include daily replenishment orders, store openings/closing, off site deliveries, and peak season special programs.
  • Assist with transportation oversight and resolve tactical issues.
  • Foster and develop strong partner relationships with logistics partners.
  • Support Outbound Manager with carrier routing table maintenance and transportation configurations in PkMS.
  • Support S&OP reporting with root cause of carrier delays and implementing corrective actions when possible.
  • Research vendor related charge backs and maintain compliance.
  • Support outbound logistics organization with identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives.
  • Support DC’s and business units with international/export shipment documentation and routing.
  • Ad hoc logistics projects and analysis as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (preferred) and 3-5 years of work-related experience or equivalent. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge and experience with carrier service coverage, delivery standards and rates. 
  • Knowledge of tracking, tracing shipment reconsignment/return and storage/redelivery.  
  • Knowledge of outbound logistics and carrier operations. 
  • Above average knowledge of analytical tools including Excel and Cognos. 
  • General working knowledge of operations management systems including SAP, DOM, and PkMS. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment in pressure situations within changing demands and time constraints.
