Job Description

Volt is currently hiring Skilled Packaging Line Workers in Tulare area. The candidate/s will be responsible for performing production work in a food manufacturing or distribution facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Prepare all bulk product for bagging, bag all product, prepare all product as called for on a daily production plan. Responsible for ensuring paperwork is filled out accurately. Pack product into boxes and bulk totes. Make boxes. Load material into packaging machine. Check packages for correct code dates and labels. Palletize all products.  Clean and sanitize all equipment and rooms. Learn operation of the robots, machines and adjust as needed. Setup case erector and top sealer for boxes. Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and neat work area. Work in a quick and efficient manner. Attendance at work is an essential job duty.  Job requires regular attendance and work to be performed in all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Daily walk through audit of facility to ensure all product is within quality standards and falls within temperature specification. Notify QA of any deviation that may arise from raw receiving to finished product. Conducting flavor panel on finished product to be released or reworked. Conduct filler/tail off checks to verify weights, codes, seals, and labels on finished product to be shipped. Audit and verify product batch sheet ingredients used and validate for use in production. Verify refrigerated trailer temperatures fall within specification for product storage. Adjust batch and blend sheets according to daily fill/customer needs. Create a daily production report for pass down to other supervisors and management to review and follow up on. Put together and distribute next day production paperwork in assigned areas for startup.
