SMT Maintenance Technician

Our client is a privately held corporation and has been a quality supplier to the electronics industry for more than 20 years. This company is involved in semiconductor technology and kept pace with design, development, manufacturing and test advancements to support  fast-paced Industries, such as medical, communications, wireless, commercial, industrial, military and a variety of emerging businesses.

Pay: $20 - $24/hr. DOE 

Shift: Monday through Friday –  1st or 2nd shift, must be able to train on 1st

Job Description

  • Perform setup, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of equipment in assigned area in advanced packaging and/or SMT manufacturing lines. 
  • Assist Engineering with new equipment installation, validation, and basic program development. 
  • First-line response to reported advanced packaging or SMT equipment issues with the ability to properly diagnose basic mechanical issues and address or escalate to Engineering if necessary. 
  • The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft office tools including Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly learn computer-based manufacturing execution system. 
  • Job function will require full time activity in a controlled environment / clean room.

Minimum Work Experience Required/Preferred

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on technical experience in SMT, semiconductor, semiconductor packaging or related field required. 

Minimum Education and Training Required/Preferred

  •  High School Degree or equivalent required. 
  • College courses or Associates Degree preferred.
