As a key member of the B2B Interactive team, the Software Architect works closely with Agile Directors, Enterprise Architect, contractors, vendors and other entities to ensure that B2B Interactive organization produces high quality software that adheres to common best practices and facilitates the progression of the product roadmaps as defined by the Product Marketing team and the Enterprise Architect.

B2B Interactive works with a variety of cutting edge technologies in the mobile and web sectors in order to enhance player engagement for our casino partners and provide players with fun ways to stay involved. This includes mobile concierge apps, social online/mobile casinos, content, and more. The Software Architect is responsible for acting as a technical resource and leader within the development teams and plays a large role in the look, feel, function, and features of our products.


What you'll do

  • Ensure the technical quality of the software delivered by the development teams and to progress the technical roadmap defined by the Enterprise Architect.
  • Define the architectural principles and establish a target architecture that combines the product roadmap, the latest technology platforms, and common architectural best practices.
  • Provide stakeholders with technical solutions to specific design issues that arise during the development process.
  • Provide technical consultation to remote and local teams within the organization consistent with the architectural principals of the Enterprise Architect.
  • Successfully communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to culturally diverse audiences.
  • Keep development team members informed of changes in processes, design decisions and development policies.
  • Assist in the definition and implementation of solutions that will improve the consistency of product performance, quality, as well as consistent implementation of processes and standards.
  • Ensure all team members are following agreed product designs and guidelines and coding standards.
  • Mentor and guide team members on proper use of  approved technology.
  • Ensure the production of quality software artifacts from teams.
  • Ensure quality code is delivered by teams to avoid broken builds that can cause delays to the team.
  • Review all source code, unit tests, regression tests, load and stress tests created to verify software programs.
  • Certify that teams follow Company programming standards.
  • Focus on cross team success. Work well in a team environment. Assist team members in all areas to achieve successful sprints and retrospectively provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or its equivalent.  
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in software engineering with at least 4 years in a technical leadership role. 
  • 5+ years of experience with mobile development with cloud-based architecture.
  • 4+ years of experience with OOA/D methodologies. 
  • Additional experience in Windows .NET tools and technologies, Unity, and game-development, are highly desirable.
  • Experience with an agile development methodology, preferably Scrum. 
  • Must have experience as a technical leader to enterprise scale development team and have a deep understanding of Product Development lifecycle with ability to appreciate multiple points of views from different job functions. 
  • Must have experience coordinating development of remote teams located in multiple time zones.
  • Strong understanding of the Agile scrum methodology and how to work within an agile scrum environment locally and across geographic boundaries.
  • Knowledge and hands-on skills with multi-cloud integration, cloud-based microservices and API’s
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments and operations, including Google Cloud, Azure and AWS
  • Strong knowledge of .NET Core, Angular, JQuery, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, REST, MS SQL database, Hybrid mobile frameworks (ex. Ionic, Cordova, PhoneGap).
  • Must have strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have strong communication skills, able to work independently and be team oriented. 
  • Some international travel required.
