Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Software Test Engineer to work with our client, a global leader in the defense, civil government, and cyber security markets.  The successful candidate will work for eight (8) months from 8AM to 5PM in Plano, TX.  The selected candidate will develop and integrate test software for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Integrated Core Processor (ICP) family of airborne processor products.  The Senior Software Test Engineer will report to the JSF Test Software Lead Engineer.  Responsibilities for this role include: test software requirements analysis, design, and code development/modifications; test execution, problem isolation/remedy, and formal validation test runs.

Required Skills

  • Applicants selected must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Science or Engineering
  • 4+ years C/C++ programming experience
  • 2+ years C# programming experience
  • Strong technical development, integration, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience with direct control of hardware devices and registers
  • Experienced with product development utilizing standard software development processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills

  • Development and Debugging Experience with National Instruments TestStand and CVI
  • Database interface/development experience

This is an estimated eight (8) month temporary position in Plano, TX that is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.  Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.  Position is subject to U.S. Government Contractor hiring eligibility requirements.  No third-party vendors.  Pay is commensurate with experience.
