Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM)
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour (commensurate with experience)

Duration: 6-12-month contract assignment

MUST Have: 5+ years of Software Engineering Experience

Job Description

With minimal supervision, capable of designing, developing, maintaining, update, test, implement, and deliver technology to business requirements.  Software Engineer is self – directed and committed to follow the entire process of agile development for small, medium to large complex projects. 

Strong analytical skills, excellent time management and organization skills  and the ability to pay careful attention to detail are keys to success in software engineering. Also mandatory is the capacity to work well in groups , including offsite and a willingness to understand and follow the various roles played by fellow team members.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math or science required.

Minimum 3 years of programming experience.

Skills & Qualifications :

Mandatory :

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • In depth programming working experience in one or more current object oriented programming languages (for e.g. : C++, Java, Python)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning, automated build tools, but not limited to {Git / Maven / Jenkins / Artifactory}}
  • Good and working understanding of test automation.
  • Familiarity with BDD or TDD development framework is helpful.  
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational dbs and REST webservices

Front End developer (Optional information)

  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring the development application adheres to them.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Good understanding of and should have knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
