Pay Rate: $15.50 an hour 

Schedule: Flexible -Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (7:00 pm-7:00 am) [Occasional Saturdays]

Sorting and cleaning the production of items coming in
This is a labor position within a local recycling center located in the city of Vernon. The Sorter Job is an entry level position working on a production line environment. This position performs the hand sorting of recyclable materials on a moving conveyor belt. Is responsible for removing recyclable materials from the belt to be baled or processed as usable material. This position is critical to the operation of the plant.

Duties include (but not limited to)

• Sort materials such as metals, glass, cardboard, paper, cans or plastics into appropriate containers for recycling
• Assist in processing recyclable materials collected from receptacles
• Clean recycling area by sweeping, raking or picking up various types of debris including broken glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, keeping work area organized
• MUST have steal toe shoes
