Volt is immediately hiring Sr. Analyst in Santa Monica, CA.

As a Sr. Analyst, you will:

  • Support data-driven approaches to Studio design and engineering initiatives through in-depth analysis and reporting.
  • Partner with the Live Services Team to optimize game features, balance in-game economies, and identify new ways to boost player engagement.
  • Collaborate with studios to analyze core game systems, implementing gameplay analytics that align with the development goals of designers and engineers.
  • Support and drive analytics initiatives within a cross-functional team to inform design and implementation decisions, both current and future.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • You’re a motivated data expert eager to expand your analytics toolkit in a fast-paced environment, focused on delivering high impact insights to stakeholders, and driven by a passion for video games.
  • Demonstrating consistent influence of analytics on revenue, engagement, and player experience.
  • Leveraging your relationship building skills to foster trust and teamwork with both internal and studio partners.
  • Managing your time and stakeholder expectations with clear, concise updates and insights.
  • Delivering precise, actionable insights that drive decisions and improvements.
  • Understanding the player mindset to derive and communicate insights that shape design and engagement strategies.

This is a 6+ month Full-time contract opportunity.

Schedule: First Shift Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., data analytics, data science, statistics, economics, or mathematics).
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and R/Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • A passion for storytelling through data, turning complex datasets into compelling narratives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships and expectations.
  • Experience in gameplay analysis or knowledge of user engagement and monetization strategies in gaming, entertainment, e-commerce, or mobile apps is a plus.

Pay Rate: $65.00 to $ 70.00 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
