About the Role: The Sr. Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for consolidating the financial data of the Company’s business units and assisting in the preparation of financial information included in the Company’s internal and external reporting including external financial statements and footnotes, SEC filings on Form 10-K’s, Form 10-Q’s, Management Discussion and Analysis, Proxy Statement, Registration Statements, earnings releases, Forms 8-K, and other financial information and analyses. Priorities include ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and developing and implementing effective and efficient processes and internal controls around preparation and approval of the reports. The position is based in Uniondale, NY and reports to the Director, Financial Reporting and Consolidation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing the Company’s external reporting including external financial statements and footnotes, SEC filings on Form 10-K’s, Form 10-Q’s, Management Discussion and Analysis, Proxy Statement, Registration Statements, earnings releases, Forms 8-K, and other financial information and analyses as well as the Company’s compliance with XBRL requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of analyses and review, schedules and documentation to support external financial statement footnotes.
  • Assist with preparing Audit Committee and Board of Directors’ presentation materials, including preparation of earnings release and Form 8-K.
  • Coordinate and monitor the external and internal SOX review processes for the consolidation processes, including the maintenance of SOX flow charts.
  • Coordinate the process and review of all internal reporting, consolidated account analyses and reconciliations complied by Financial Reporting department.
  • Supervise financial analyst(s) including providing overall direction, coordination and evaluation; interviewing and training; planning, assigning, directing and reviewing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems; monitoring performance objectives; and providing guidance and counseling.
  • Apply best practice methods and, wherever available, company quality standards and guidelines appropriate to the task.
  • Perform special accounting analysis and projects, as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • At least 5 -7 years of financial analyst experience with 2-4 years in a supervisory role or higher senior role.
  • SEC Reporting experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration required.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Understanding of financial reporting processes.
  • Willing to accept ownership, responsibility and accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • A well organized, self-directed and able to successfully navigate large organizational politics.
  • Strong team player who is able to relate to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to consider all the information and make effective decisions.
  • Well versed in systems and the details of financial reporting while able to step back and view the strategic big picture.
