Job Description

Volt is currently seeking a Secret cleared Sr. Infrastructure Engineer for our customer located in Sterling, VA.

This candidate will support the design, implementation, testing and delivery of the computing infrastructure for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Ground Station. The ideal candidate for this position will be well-versed in the design of computing infrastructure services, be able to install, configure and integrate COTS/FOSS software, and be knowledgeable in hardening systems to meet IA compliance standards. He/she should also be a self-starter, be able to troubleshoot complex problems, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

The candidate must be a US Citizen who has the ability to obtain a US Government DoD SECRET clearance prior to start.

Required Skills:
• Experience installing, configuring and administering both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with the VMware suite of tools, including the ability to configure and deploy VMs as defined in high-level system documentation
• Experience hardening systems to IA standards, e.g. DISA STIGs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development of detailed design-level system documentation and CDRLs as required
• Good command of MS Office Applications
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment as needed to best support program needs
• Ability to obtain a US Government DoD SECRET Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Must be DODI 8570.1 compliant at IAT Level 2 within 6 months of start
o Requires security certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CASP
• 6+ years of related work experience

Desired Skills:
• Experience in datacenter hardware installation, including rack-mounting components and cable installation
• Ability to configure and integrate storage devices (SAN, NAS) into the system
• Exposure to IdAM tools and technologies, including implementation of RBACs
• Experience implementing Enterprise Management/monitoring Systems (EMS) (e.g. SolarWinds, HP OpenView)
• Experience integrating systems into US Government networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, etc.)
• Exposure to common IA toolsets (e.g. HBSS, Nessus, etc.)
• Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper firewall appliances

Education Requirements:
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related work experience or 14 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline
