Sr. Material Manager (Contract to direct) $48-50/hr. (DOE)
Port Arthur, TX

Sr. Material Manager is a professional with extensive large to mega size material management project experience. This individual coordinates Material Management efforts with Client/Partner, Engineers, Construction, Procurement (Expediting, Logistics, etc.) and Suppliers. This individual oversees all project level Material Management responsibilities. This position will report to the Procurement Operations Manager. This position may include managing other Material Managers at multiple locations supporting projects.

1. Implements Site Safety requirements to Material Management personnel.
2. Implements Procurement and Materials Department guidelines and policies. Develop program to distribute, train and monitor for compliance.
3. Develop and manage the project materials mobilization and demobilization efforts
4. Interview, hire, train personnel to staff project materials and data entry positions
5. Performance management planning and salary action review activities for all field Materials Management personnel
6. Manage project Logistics functions for inbound & outbound shipments
7. Develop and manage materials related responsibilities between the following groups: Procurement, Expediting, Data Interface, Project Management, Client requirements, Partner (JV) requirements, and Sub-Contractors
8. Interface and communicate with; project and home office Management, reporting Staffs, project Crafts, Expediting and Support Services.
9. Oversight responsibility for materials system entry and resolution of supplier or other data issues
10. Supports Advanced Work Packaging activities and processes including Material Work Package Coordinator.
11. Maintains OS&D (Over Short or Damage) and MSO (Miscellaneous Shipping Order) documentations and logs.
12. Responsible for PM (Preventive Maintenance) tracking system and entry of work orders for inventory equipment requiring PM. Craft PM Staff may be assigned to Materials Manager if directed by Project Management.
13. Coordinate and report Procurement and Materials Department metrics and performance.
14. Coordinate surplus disposal at projects.
15. Coordinate material management efforts with Client/Partner interface, Engineers, Construction, Procurement (Expediting, Logistics, etc.) and Suppliers.
16. Manage material management team in day to day material management operations, systems utilized and procedures.
17. Develop and train materials management team as well as other parties involved in materials management transactions.
18. Develop and distribute reports for internal and external recipients.
19. Perform and review material related transactions.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required with preference for a degree in Supply Chain Mgt. Five years of experience in Supply Chain Management with a focus in Material Planning.1-3 Years of experience directly managing a salaried staff.
