Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring for a Sr. Packaging Lead position for a great medical manufacturing company in Camarillo.  See the description below and apply today!

Shift: 2nd, Monday-Friday, 2:15pm-10:45pm

Pay: $20.80/hour



Summary

The Senior Packaging Lead is responsible for the smooth operation of the production lines in each clean room.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads and understands written instructions and SOPs.
  • Set-ups equipment or assists with set-ups as required.
  • Trains Lead Machine Operators and Packaging Machine Operators to operate packaging equipment and to follow procedures.
  • Makes sure that controlled substance is put away in the controlled substance area.
  • Thinks of ways to be more efficient when packaging product.
  • Clears and cleans rooms.
  • Does the 30 min. in-process checks for the runs.
  • Makes sure that equipment and product total is noted on the master batches.
  • Checks that the correct labels and Lot # with expiration dates information are correct.
  • Coordinates maintenance/repair of equipment on line.
  • Performs other packaging-related duties as assigned, including but not limited to staging jobs, creating end of shift reports and job reconciliation.  
  • Serves as acting Packaging Supervisor as required.

Supervision:

Received: Directives from the Supervisor, Packaging.

Given: Directives to Lead Machine Operators and Packaging Machine Operators.



Equipment:

Must be proficient in the set up and use of all packaging equipment, forklifts and office computer equipment.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to package between 25 and 40 bottles a minute.
  • Must operate equipment to assist moving inventory including push cart, hand truck, forklift and pallet jack approximately 10% of each day.
  • Must lift, bend, stoop, climb, and pull in the process of moving boxes and packages from one location to another.
  • Must climb stairs in order to store items in storage racks.
  • May be required to work longer than the typical 8-hour work day.

Computer Skills:

Must working knowledge of basic PC software: Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

Maintain a strong attendance record.

Must be able to pass screening, drug test and background check.

Adhere to company’s drug-free workplace policies.

Must have significant experience with room equipment
