Job Description

An amazing company in Burbank CA, is hiring for a Sr. Pension Benefits Analyst! 

Salary is $70-75k to start, they offer great Benefits and a Pension. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Function as an integral part of the team as a pension administrator, manage key projects, while researching, developing, and implementing changes to enhance the flow of the department, all to aid the department in achieving its goals to serve Plan Participants in a timely, accurate manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Spearhead special projects within the Pension Benefits Department
  • Organize and lead team in company and external projects
  • Ensure compliance with Plan document and law
  • Enhance department processes to ensure effective operations to the department
  • Train team members in processes and individual tasks relating to process
  • Process employees of Named Employers
  • Retain full knowledge of every process and job position in the department to act on demand as back-up team member for every process
  • Determine whether QDRO (Qualified Domestic Relations Order) is qualified
  • Research processes of department to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Develop guidelines and workflow for departmental processes
  • Implement new or changed processes and evaluate progress
  • Initiate and carry through renovation or creation of forms, letters
  • Conduct monthly training of team members to expand skills and knowledge of Pension Plan and relating laws or governing codes
  • Attend Benefits Committee meetings and prepare appeals
  • Approval for payment for all retirement and death benefits
  • In the absence of the Manager, manage daily operations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in any of the following fields; Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business or other related field
