Volt has an opening for a Senior Salesforce Developer in Rancho Cordova, CA for a 6-month position to design, develop, maintain, enhance, test and implement solutions on the Salesforce Platform to meet business needs. In this position, you will:

  • Utilize business user stories to develop technical requirements
  • Generate design and development plans
  • Determine root cause for the most complex software issues
  • Act as subject matter expert to anything related to Salesforce
  • Provide education of Salesforce applications, processes and procedures
  • Work in the development environment which includes custom objects, workflows, validation rules, triggers, the IDE, SOSL, SOQL and web services
  • Use declarative development tools such as workflow rules and field updates
  • Develop, enhance and maintain custom applications on the platform
  • Responsible for Apex development and test coverage
  • Audit, identify and resolve data integrity issues and data migration using tools such as duplication management, DemandTools and the DataLoader
  • Integrate with other systems including web services and appexchange apps
  • Administer, customize and configure Salesforce features including, but not limited to Security, Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Users, Page Layouts, Record Types, Workflows, Reports and Dashboards, Approvals, Object Relationships, Fields, Validation rules, Custom apps, etc.
  • Use Dataloader, DemandTools or equivalent data management tools to audit, identify and resolve data integrity issues

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in related field; or related experience
  • Minimum 8 years of IT development experience
  • 4 years of Salesforce development experience
  • Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems
  • Provide detailed evaluations and practical solutions
  • Proficient with declarative development tools
  • Experience with Visualforce and Apex development
  • Experience with SOAP and REST APIs, Bulk API and Metadata API
  • Knowledgeable in standard functions of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing, Collaboration and Community Clouds
  • Proficiency in developing Visualforce pages, integrating managed packages
  • Understanding of SFDC MVC architecture
  • Experience in developing Apex classes, Triggers, Visualforce pages, and API integration
