Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring immediately for a Senior Software Engineer in El Segundo CA

Must be able to obtain a US Confidential Security Clearance.

 A qualified candidate for the Tactical Radar Programs will apply technical principles, theories, and concepts associated with software development and design for Special Test Equipment to verify Flight Hardware and Software at Board, Unit, & System level. Primary responsibilities include requirements management/development, software architecting and preliminary design, coding & unit testing, orchestrating Test Equipment to stimulate and instrument Flight Unit Under Test (UUT). Additional responsibilities include: software development of command and control of various sensors and control mechanisms, and system, unit, and module software test activities. 

The candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to work independently, and the ability to manage personal workload to meet assigned deadlines. The candidate should have experience successfully working in a collaborative environment. The candidate will be involved with the planning, conduct, and coordination of software designs, software architecture, and documentation.

Required Skills:

• Experience in C/C++

• Experience with Test Development Environments (LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, TestStand)

• Experience with Test Equipment interface with GPIB

Experience with Test Station Integration and Diagnostics

• Experience in the overall product integration, validation, and verification of the System

• Experience in the preparation of Test Plans, Integration Plans and Test Procedures

• Experience in full life-cycle software development, implementation, design and overall architecture

• Experience with software test activities

• Experience Assuring Product under test meets the design and performance requirements in accordance with the build plans, the User needs, and Customer expectations

• Experience presenting to and interfacing with both internal and external customers

• Minimum 4 years of related technical individual contributor experience in large team software engineering development

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Radar systems test and Integration

• Experience with real time embedded systems

• Experience with Ada • Experience with Green Hills Software

• Experience with software implementation of timing and controls

• Experience with Built in Test (BIT) implementation

• Experience with Configuration Management tools

• Experience with automated test tools, techniques, and practices

• Experience with tools such as RHAPSODY, JIRA, VectorCast, and GoogleTest

• Experience with Agile-Scrum methodology

• Experience writing Software Requirements Specifications and Preliminary design development

• Working knowledge of DOORs

• Understanding of software development best practices and processes

• Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools Required Education: BS or higher degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
