Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer in Crown Point, IN. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a high level client. The Senior Systems Engineering to help lead a joint Government/Contractor team in the development of an integrated Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.  This position will require interaction with require the incumbent to interact with Senior DoD personnel,  MBE/MBSE subject matter experts from multiple DoD primes, and other systems engineers to develop the environment, tools and models necessary to capture, track and provide life cycle manage of MBE and MBSE models.  Must hold active Secret Clearance. W2 only. No C2C or H1B visas will be accepted.  Onsite work will be required.

To be considered, a candidate must possess:

•         Ability to provide technical and programmatic direction on the development, integration and use of MBE and MBSE models.

•         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions

•         Familiarity with MBE and  MBSE tools and procedures

•         Knowledge and experience with the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile program and mission.

•         Experience with and understanding of system modeling and analysis

•         Understanding of DoD Systems Engineering processes and requirements

•         Ability to support the development of MBE and MBSE systems engineers

•         An understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.

•         An understanding of model based engineering including use cases, data flow charts, process flow diagrams, software requirements document, functional specifications document, etc

•         Experience with SYSML is desired

•         ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

•         Ability to work as a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication, including a willingness to occasionally work in a pair-programming environment


•         Participate in all phases of the Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) specification, analysis, design, verification and validation utilizing MBE/MBSE tools and capabilities.

•         Support leadership on the devlopment of an integrated process to for use-case development, and supporting documentation, for a DoD programs.

•         Lead the development of software architecture documents

•         Support technical and risk assessments

•         Ensure integration risks are effectively addressed in program risk management and system engineering processes

•         Work with other development, architecture, and product development teams


 Education: Master’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Math , System Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

Experience:    10 + Years’ experience systems engineering
