Job Description

Volt is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated content strategist and writer to join our Global Corporate Communications team. Working with other key members of the team, you will be responsible for crafting well-written copy and messaging to support internal communication efforts.


  • At least 5 -7 years writing and editing communications at a publication, web publishing, creative agency, or in-house creative environment—experience in executive communications, speechwriting, and internal communications a plus
  • Strong background in content creation for a variety of channels and formats, such as websites, emails, presentations, white papers, case studies, or other marketing collateral
  • Experience making technical content accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Meticulous writing and editing skills with exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and the ability to quickly master Agilent’s communication style
  • Ability to turn around copy quickly, revise and articulate key messages to partners
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, researching, and interviewing skills
  • Familiar with AP style and usage guides
  • Great at storytelling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • A strategic thinker with a talent for articulating ideas and presenting work to internal partners

As our Sr. Writer, you should be equal parts editor, writer, critical and creative thinker, storyteller, and communications expert.  Writing and editing internal communications with an eye for tone and structure. Advocating for strong copy and concise messaging across a number of content types. Cultivating relationships with writers, business partners, and stakeholders on key projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the creative output. Successful candidates will be adept at working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate is well organized, skilled at managing several projects at a time, and possesses the technical savvy to navigate complex business issues.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
