Job Description

Our client, based in Orange County, is seeking a QA Engineer for an exciting opportunity!

This resource will act as a Test Engineer for connected vehicle system integration activities. This will include integrating various technologies into a vehicle launch consisting of embedded electronic controls, onboard display units, high speed in-vehicle networks, high speed wireless networks, wearable connected devices, mobile applications, and web applications.

  • In coordination with the system validation and testing team, verify, track, and report on comprehensive regression testing and new feature testing for all integrated platforms and vehicles
  • Working with technical operations group, log, track, and report all issues identified by internal and external system users and drive all issues back into the agile development, test, and release process in collaboration with the technical operations team
  • QA Test web-based platforms and software
  • Close integration with various client organization representatives to facilitate integration and systems validation
  • Support application integration process through continuous improvement activities, aggressive problem investigation and resolution processes, and constantly challenging the teams to create more efficient integration, testing, and issue resolution activities

Key Experience:

  • QA Testing experience that includes both mobile and web application platforms
  • 2-3 years project management leadership and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across multiple organizations or vendors with competing priorities
  • Experienced with Atlassian issue tracker Jira or similar tool to track programs and associated issues to closure
  • IoT or other connected technology between sensor and desktop (remote device) working with a variety of wireless technologies
  • Familiarity troubleshooting web application services and API connections to determine source of errors between various vendor applications (JSON, SOAP, REST)
  • Android / Apple mobile device development, testing, or project management
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite including Project, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-company and multi-geographical team
