Target qualifications for this role are:

  • BS degree in Civil, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering;Hands on experience in Aerospace Structural Analysis and Testing.  FAA delegation in Structures is desirable.
  • Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

In-depth knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role include:

  • Excellent technical, conceptual, and financial skills required.
  • Ability to motivate, coach and manage a team including conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.  Experience with a variety of CAD systems required, AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge 14 CFR Part 25 Regulations as it pertains to Aircraft Structures, Interiors, Materials, Mechanical Systems and Payload Systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry accepted Finite Element Program, NASTRAN.
  • Working knowledge of classical hand analysis of aircraft structural components and assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of accepted design practices and solutions in Aircraft Industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, drawing development and FAA requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
