Volt based out of Orange, CA is looking for a Supplier Contracts Manager/Specialist

Supplier Contracts Manager/Specialists are responsible for reviewing the qualifications of temporary staffing suppliers who have been identified as potential suppliers to Volt Consulting Group (VCG), under a Managed Services Program, or to Volt Workforce Solutions (VWS) as a sub-tier supplier.  Supplier Contracts Manager/Specialists determine the extent to which these suppliers meet the qualification criteria established by VCG and VCG’s customer, or VWS, and will negotiate terms and conditions of different supplier contracts to capture and implement agreed-upon business concepts and requirements.  This includes drafting and modifying contract language, analyzing contract liabilities, assessing compliance with insurance requirements, and providing support, analysis and responses within stringent time frames in order to meet deadlines.  This position requires significant interaction with VCG and VCG’s customer, or VWS, on a local; and national level and on-going communication with VCG and VWS Management. 

Contracts Manager/Specialist are the primary interface with each temporary staffing supplier who have been identified as potential suppliers to VCG or VWS programs.  Tasks include participation in the development and pre-implementation of each new VCG Managed Services Program, qualifying and on-boarding suppliers who meet the program and contractual requirements, and vetting and on-boarding of Associate Vendors (AVs) as sub-tier suppliers for VWS.  Work is performed with minimal supervision. Supplier Contracts Manager/Specialists assist in the development, coordination, and distribution of Supplier Contracts, negotiate, qualify suppliers, and amend, terminate, and renegotiate contracts as appropriate.

Supplier Contracts Manager/Specialists are critical to ensuring that all supplier contractual activities necessary to on-board qualified suppliers occur on a timely basis and support the VCG Managed Services Program requirements or the VWS sub-tier supplier requirements .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of a team to implement new VCG Managed Services Programs to evaluate and on-board qualified suppliers.
  • Evaluate, assess, negotiate and administer supplier contracts with potential suppliers.
  • Oversee all supplier requirements of each assigned VCG Managed Program and VWS sub-tier Associate Vendor requirements.
  • Determine the extent to which suppliers meet VCG and VCG customers, or VWS requirements.
  • Provide support, analysis and responses to issues and questions.
  • Maintain supplier contract files and databases.
  • Establish and negotiate new contracts, amendments and terminations with suppliers.
  • Create contractual provisions to capture and implement agreed-upon business concepts, and review work product with VCG/VWS and customers (when applicable) for approval.
  • Advise management of the likely effects that might result from accepting supplier exceptions to Managed Services Program requirements (i.e., advise what these changes “really mean”).
  • Work with VCG/VWS Operations, Accounting, Program Implementations, and Contracts Department personnel to resolve qualification issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between VCG, VWS and VIS Legal on certain supplier contract issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher; J.D. a plus (or other equivalent paralegal experience)
  • Must be Proficient in contractual language; able to identify and resolve inconsistencies and contract issues
  • Demonstrated customer service capabilities
  • Procurement Experience (1-3 years) - Desired
  • Negotiation Experience (1- 3 years) - Desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Contract Administration - Desired
  • Strong Organizational Skills – Desired
