Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers and developing program management plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in and be lead in solving problems with supplier material
  • Create and put in place plans to prevent problems with supplied material
  • Be responsible for Supplier Management Programs – both development and implementation.
  • Communicate to leadership on supplier performance.
  • Responsible for supplier audits.
  • Participate in the Engineering Change Process to ensure proper suppliers chosen and Approved Vendor List is updated and managed effectively

Education

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred 
  • Six Sigma (Preferred)

Requirements

  • 2 – 5 years progressive experience in a quality capacity (Quality Engineer and Supplier Quality Engineer roles previously.)
  • Need to be a problem solver who uses analytical skills to find “out of the box” solutions to quality-related issues.
  • Previous experience with PCB/PCBA
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, managers, or co-workers of the organization
  • Have knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD& T) as well as Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R).
  • Experience speaking to Process Capability - CP & CPK
  • Extensive electronic systems knowledge, analyzing information and reporting research results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronics equipment problems and perform complex system tests striving for quality.
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, technical drawings and manuals, correspondence, and memos
