Open Supplier Quality Engineer Position! Direct Hire

Totem Lake, WA

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for working with the customer, Supply Chain Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, and others as necessary to ascertain supplier responsibility and ensure corrective action follow up for supplier performance issues. The SQE will also participate in supplier selection and the engineering change process as required. They perform regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans.  They serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements, and collaborate with other engineers in a team environment and ensure adherence to company processes and procedures, identify deviations and take appropriate corrective actions. 


  • Participate and lead problem resolution with supplier material
  • Develop and implement plans to prevent problems with supplied material
  • Develop and implement supplier management programs
  • Report supplier performance and quality to management
  • Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization's standards
  • Maintain successful relationships with customers, suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments
  •  Participate in the Engineering Change Process to ensure proper suppliers chosen and Approved Vendor List is updated and managed effectively
  • Assist in efforts across other teams or departments to assure success of all projects
  • Aid in the development and training of other team members
  • Promote Company safety and security guidelines to team members
  • Assure all Company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Promote team awareness of the latest technological advances
  • Promote Company philosophy and scheduling methodology


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
  •  5 years progressive experience in a quality capacity preferred
