Job Description

Volt is currently seeking a highly qualified Supply Chain Analyst to join one of our clients in Detroit, MI.

Position Overview:

The candidate who fills this role will get experience in all areas of the client's supply chain, from raw material procurement to end material shipment to customers. This is a unique setting in that the client manufactures the materials that their Supply Chain group manages right on site. The client is a smaller site that works closely with one another and that allows them to get involved in many different areas of the business.

Primary Duties:

  • Logistics Superuser - Daily scheduling of trucks and material to and from facility
  • Procurement – order production supplies based on demand requirements
  • Product scheduling – Schedule production orders on 1-2 lines within the plant

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group.
  • Worker to manage global supply of critical raw materials.
  • Work with suppliers, and global planning team to optimize the supply of critical raw material items.
  • Provide process support to division Sales and Operations Planning Processes.
  • Create demand plans.
  • Analyze international supply plans.
  • Manage key process indices.
  • Provide data support to division planning teams.
  • Manage reporting process for demand planning, order management, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Ownership for global non-working inventory management process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain / Operations related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain experience with SAP or other modern MRP systems

Soft Skills:

  • Candidate must possess strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Job can be fast paced so able to multitask throughout day is important as well
  • Strong computer skills needed – systems used include MS Outlook, MS Excel, various MRP/ERP systems
