Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will primarily be responsible for providing supply chain planning leadership for one or more major product lines within the Electronics Materials Solutions Division. 

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Lead global supply chain performance and improvement for assigned product codes
  • Analyzes material flow parameters such as order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, replenishment interval, and sets these levels to support the business/customer requirements
  • Utilizes Supply Chain tools and processes such as i2 Demand Planner (DP), Supply Chain Planner (SCP), Forecast Performance Metrics (FPM), and Dynamic Supply Planning (DSP) to regularly review demand and supply exceptions; takes necessary steps to prevent and/or correct anticipated problems.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results
  • Leads demand planning meetings with key purchasing subsidiaries
  • Monitors and reports capacity requirements, customer order volume, and stock service levels
  • Work with manufacturing plants to optimize production schedules to meet service and inventory objectives. 
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams aimed at achieving various departmental, business group, and divisional goals.
  • Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Logistics and/or Supply Chain experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Administration from an accredited university
  • Three to five (3-5) years combined experience in supply chain management, inventory control and/or materials planning
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Experience or knowledge of 3M planning systems such as RDP, SCP, PeopleSoft, COMS, GGSM, IMES, USS, SCPA, etc.
  • SAP experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt project experience and/or certification
  • Excellent communication, data analysis, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
