We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Purchasing Analyst to join our team at Indicon in Leesport, PA.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Supply Chain/Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for the procurement of goods, services and operations equipment including but not limited to the evaluation of supplier’s proposals, costs, and quality, performance.

The analyst will also be responsible for the collection and analyzation of supply chain data and forecasting information from the customers.  This includes but is not limited to recommendation of improvements to boost performance and reduce costs as well as analyzing financial reports to find discrepancies.  Coordinating with other professionals to implement changes and new systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to determine purchasing needs.
  2. Maintain ERP system data to ensure quality of information for purchasing requirements.
  3. Prepare all required documentation for each purchase order.
  4. Daily communication with suppliers/vendors via verbal/written or electronically delivered purchase orders.
  5. Coordinate invoice problems with vendor and accounting as well as any delivery requirements with the vendor.
  6. Interaction with engineering/project managers to ensure item qualifications.
  7. Establish/maintain working contract with vendors. Including but not limited to meetings with sales and vendor representatives when required.
  8. Support of the company’s inventory and supply chain needs with data analytics.
  9. Identification of bad inventory and aid in the deployment of a strategy to relieve the inventory through disposal, resale or return to vendors.
  10. Develop, maintain and use of detailed inventory management best practices, as well as supply chain analysis using both actual and forecasted demand.
  11. Perform additional duties as required by Supervisor.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE

  • The position will be filled by a candidate interested in pursuing or continuing to develop their analytical and operational skills.
  • Strong quantitative and reasoning skills are required.
  • A BS in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management or equivalent combinations of education and procurement experience or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • MS Office Products, including a high mastery of Excel
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, product.
