Job Description


Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for a Senior Radar Analyst / mode developer with a technical background in RF systems, including RF systems transmit/receive chain, radar processing hardware/software, modeling, simulation, and systems mode and built in test software development. The analyst / mode developer will be responsible for analyzing radar data from in-house testing, field tests, and deployed Ku Band Radio Frequency System (KRFS) radar systems to determine correct operation and performance. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for analysis tool development, predicting basic radar performance estimation against different threats, and Monte-Carlo simulation capabilities to estimate system performance under a variety of threat scenarios. The analyst will also be involved with enhancing existing system capabilities and performance through mode and signal processing development.  The analyst must have strong communications and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the customer and senior technical leadership.

Job Description 

  • Prepare Radar performance estimation to include the preparation of technical documentation and presentation material.
  • Collect test data and performs Radar analysis to use in reviews and problem solving resolution
  • Develop Radar simulations and scenarios
  • Develop and design Radar mode and signal processing, and prepares written algorithm description documents (ADDs).
  • Develop and enhance the Radar tracker system
  • Integrate and test the new and existing radar functions
  • Travel to support demonstrations and customer tests at US Government field test sites

Required Skills: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Engineering with radar system design, emphasis on digital signal processing, radar performance modeling/analysis and radar simulation development, preferably in C.
  • Ability to develop highly technical radar algorithm description documentation for Multi-Function RF Systems that is easily interpreted by software engineers.
  • Experience with mathematical simulation development software in either Matlab, Mathematica, or simulation programming language.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with presenting highly technical information to leaders or customers.
  • Experience with the development of technical presentations and presenting to customers.
  • Experience with test equipment, test software, troubleshooting and problem solving.Able to travel and work in remote test field environment
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Science or related discipline.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Science or related discipline.

Security Clearance:
Applicants selected must have ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
