Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring immediately for an Aerospace Systems Design and Integrations Specialist in Kent WA

Must have a current secret clearance. Interim's will not be accepted for this position. Due to the length of time to obtain a clearance it is requested only applicants with active clearance be submitted.

Job Description:

Performs application, database and component management to ensure technical viability and cost-effectiveness from the point where it is evaluated through implementation and support, to retirement. Uses technical expertise to help business partners and others by answering technical questions regarding the usage, trouble-shooting and functionality of systems to ensure effective implementation. Have a strong knowledge of application development, computing and network systems to assist in troubleshooting techniques. Assist the team in choosing appropriate products and methods to ensure requirements are met for security, problem management, capacity/performance management and operational management. Identifies, and documents requirements for software development and computing technologies and services.

Additional Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, deploys and coordinates installation of implementation packages per Boeing standards. Performs maintenance of existing systems
- Analyzes business requirements to develop computing requirements assuring that expectations such as functionality, reliability, availability, affordability, security and performance are comprehensive and feasible. Documents and presents recommendations.
- Designs systems and/or components to meet requirements by analyzing and evaluating information gathered against existing standard products and strategies, as well as new technologies, to create integrated designs. Uses technical and industry knowledge to evaluate technical components to assess which will be viable solutions to satisfy customer requirements. Make recommendations and presents solid solutions to stakeholders and documents.
- Builds and/or configures network and delivery systems (operating systems and operational software) and/or components by obtaining, developing, assembling, and integrating hardware and software components in order to deliver/deploy product or service.
- Develops test plans such as functional, integration and usability. Tests delivery systems and/or components to ensure that components and systems function according to test plans and are ready for production.

Qualifications:
- Must have a strong development knowledge in PHP, JavaScript and scripting
- Strong knowledge in RHEL and scripting
- Must have a strong knowledge in web infrastructure and presents.
- Must have working SQL knowledge to interface with MySQL and Oracle DBMS environments.
- Must be familiar with databases, web servers, and other system related infrastructure – especially in aiding network troubleshooting efforts.
- Must work with teammates in office and virtual and assist in day to day activity such as troubleshooting, configuration and discussion in terms of network technology and network management offerings.
- Must be willing and able to accept on call responsibilities in a rotational basis to provide 24X7X365 support for the network operations and network operations support teams.
- Must be able to present findings from troubleshooting efforts to the team in weekly review meetings.
- Must be willing and able to keep procedure documents and network diagrams up to date working in conjunction with senior members of the team.

Education / Experience:Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Travel is Most likely: (Europe, Australia, New Zealand)

Additional Comments:Per Diem is NOT included in assignment.

This is First Shift:  7:30 Am to 5 PM Monday - Friday
