VOLT is hiring a high caliber Systems Engineer for Aerospace client in Oklahoma City, OK.

Job Summary:

We're looking for candidates who have 10+ years' experience with Architectures and Integration. Candidates who have strong System Engineer experience will be also considered. This is a six-month contract but there is room for an extension beyond that if the right candidates are found

  • The Client Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking experienced Senior level Systems Engineers (Level 5) to join the growing team located in Oklahoma City, OK. As a member of this team, you will execute and perform systems engineering functions for modifications and upgrades for Bomber programs, Executive Transport Services & Support (ETS&S), and Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2).
  • Your primary duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Support internal / external design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), preliminary / critical design reviews (PDR / CDR) with U.S. and Foreign Air Force Customer

Education / Experience:

  • DOORs and Rhapsody knowledge/experience
  • Requirements development & decomposition/functional allocation, systems architecture, test & analysis, system integration, requirement verification/certification, cybersecurity
  • Specification development, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), supplier specification/integration
  • Must have at least 12 years working experience with System Architectures, System Integration and Avionics background on Commercial and Military Platforms
  • Project Engineering
  • Budgeting, Earn Value Management (EVM), Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience is a plus
  • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments.
  • Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.
  • Bachelor's degree with 14 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience.
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
