Purpose / General Description

The objective of this role is to find talented candidates who are the right fit for the job, team and manufacturing company, as well as be an integral part of assimilating new hires into the organization. Work collaboratively with leaders and peers to source top talent for our organization. Responsible for the administration of the human resources functions and duties associated with talent acquisition and on-boarding. A key focus of this role is leading initiatives to build a strong employer brand and ensure we provide a positive candidate experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage an efficient, full cycle recruitment process to meet the company's hiring goals
  • Lead recruiting efforts by using multiple media venues, networking relationships, developing relationships with professional recruitment agencies, colleges and universities, and all levels of internal management and employees to identify and track top talent.       
  • Create effective recruitment and employment branding campaigns, including but not limited to, use of the internet, social media, job boards, industry-specific media, networking and college relations; continuously explore new recruiting sources and forums to assist in growing candidate pools, for both active and passive candidates.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the goals, processes, culture, product, strategic direction, competitors and needs of the teams you support; use this knowledge to help craft recruitment strategies and compelling messaging to potential candidates
  • Build productive relationships with hiring managers and become a trusted partner to the internal team
  • Build and maintain a network of active and passive candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management
  • Educate, excite, and sell candidates on the opportunity and the company, and ensure an outstanding candidate experience throughout the recruiting process
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on the specifications of each position and the requirements of the interview process for each job opening
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and participate with conducting interviews 
  • Prepare offer letters and extend offers of employment
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job ads for current openings
  • Coordinate new employee on-boarding processes/activities, including coordinating pre-employment background checks, drug screens and MVRs, processing new hire forms, lead orientation of all new hires, prepare and maintain employee personnel data in HRIS/ employee files.
  • Assist HR Manager in the continuous development and improvement of the on-boarding program.
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions in applicant tracking system; assist managers with writing job descriptions
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to the interview and selection process, as well as maintain compliance with AAP.
  • Implement an affirmative action hiring solution to attract talent
  • Creating Excel spreadsheets and running reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned related to the support of the HR team

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in business related field or equivalent work experience (bachelors preferred)
  • 3 years experience as a recruiter; in-house experience preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in the field of HR, or relevant work experience
  • Experience hiring for roles of all levels and functions; i.e. skilled trades, sales, technical, etc.
  • Experience working in an environment that is required to maintain an Affirmative Action Plan
  • Thorough knowledge of the legal aspects of recruitment and selection
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in behavioral interviewing a plus
