Do you have experience troubleshooting electronic circuits to the component level?  Are you adept with pin and chip level troubleshooting?  Do you have military radar experience?  If so, then you may be the candidate we are looking for!

Our client, a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government, and cyber security markets throughout the world, is seeking TWO (2) Tech Support Associates to work varying shifts for twelve (12) months in Dallas, TX.  Candidates with an active Secret clearance are preferred.

**Candidates that have the below four (4) CRITICAL requirements will receive priority consideration:

  1. An active DoD security clearance
  2. Military radar experience
  3. Pin and chip level troubleshooting experience
  4. Component level troubleshooting experience

Job Description

  • Applicants selected must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  Please visit this link for answers to questions about eligibility (
  • Candidate MUST HAVE 6 years of experience in electronics industry or equivalent military electronics experience
  • Ability to interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level and effectively identify failure trends Ability to isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary
  • Ability to work directly from approved procedures, schematics, and verbal instructions
  • Able to communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s)
  • Candidate will also be responsible for training/mentoring junior test technicians
  • Checks for work correctness
  • May assist in directing work, assigning, and outlining tasks
  • May assist in the development of procedures
  • May include configuration/data management
  • Observes, analyzes, and reports test data and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment Utilizes various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks.
  • Performs a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production/test environment, line maintenance and/or chemical handling.
  • Select appropriate test equipment and configure it based on test specification
  • Selects, sets up, and operates engineering and scientific equipment
  • Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs a variety of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.  

These are estimated twelve (12) month temporary positions in Dallas, TX that are offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.  Relocation assistance is NOT available for these positions.  These positions are subject to U.S. Government Contractor hiring eligibility requirements.  No third-party vendors.  Pay is commensurate with experience.
