Job Description

Volt is seeking IT Support as a Service for its global network, systems and users to one of our client in San Francisco, CA. This service is intended to support existing IT staff and provide primary support when IT staff is on leave or working remotely on special projects. Service provider should also be prepared to provide insight and recommendations on larger IT challenges and solution needs.

Job Description:

This is a part time role - work is only Tuesdays and Thursdays. 8:30 am - 4:30pm

Support for On-Site and Remote Users:

  • Image laptops for new employees and ensure they can successfully access their machine & account after deploying their profiles to their machines.
  • Support Windows OS 10
  • Support users with OS issues when they arise. Work with hardware vendor for support when needed
  • Office 2016 and Office 2013, especially Outlook and excel, PowerPoint and word.
  • Office365, including Skype for business, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams
  • Adobe Creative Cloud login support.
  • MS teams and other video conferencing systems - provide support as-need with set-up, audio/video connections, in-meeting technical support needs/questions, etc.
  • Audio and Video conferencing systems, projectors and screens - support for users connecting to audio and video systems on-prem, or connecting to teleconferences hosted by external hosts
  • Printers scanner and VOIP phones, support users when issues arise.
  • Monitor and respond to online ticketing system in salesforce

System Admin and Network support

Provide tier one support for end users and assist other admins in the following areas:

  • Basic systems and network security management/oversight
  • Active directory
  • Troubleshoot SSO issues between OKAT, AD, and office365 and other SSO application
  • Windows servers
  • Office365 for users and Admins, exchange online, SharePoint online and other MS office365 Admin portals.
  • MS Office 365 Security and compliance center
  • PowerShell scripting
  • MS Azure including web application like websites, Virtual networking in Azure, DNS zones in azure
  • AWS
  • Meraki networking and hardware, firewalls, switches and access points.
  • DNS, WAN, DHCP and other networking protocols
  • Sync between, Okta, office365, Active directory
  • Integration between Meraki, Azure networking and on promise networking
  • Backup solution systems (OneDrive for Business, Acronis)
  • Other Services
    • Assist in mgration from on-promise services to cloud (decommissioning of AD and moving all distribution lists from AD to Office365). Importing users from Active Directory to  Directory, using PowerShell scripts and other tools provided.
  • Ability to assist in decommissions old servers (domain controller servers, etc.)
  • Monitor our global network (Meraki), applications and website for uptime and security.
  • Excellent customer service for non-tech savvy users.
    • Support our San Francisco office on site
    • Support our global employees remotely during regular San Francisco business hours
    • Collaborate with and support  IT Staff based worldwide
    • Act as primary contact for help desk cases and answer all cases in a timely manner.
    • Support System and Network Admin for network inquires when issues arise.
