Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Service Representative in the Dixon, Ca. area. The TSR role is responsible for providing all-inclusive support and service to our customer base and Sales Team. This position receives and accurately details all customer orders and special instructions. Profiles non-hazardous waste streams, ensuring accurate and complete information is obtained and that all other information which may impact waste designation is considered. Researches and suggests solutions to all customer requests or issues and tracks all orders from origination to final disposal. This role directly supports and interfaces with a wide variety of departments and entities.  Must have previous Haz-Mat industry experience. 

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Profile customer waste streams (Non-RCRA & Non-Haz), ensuring accurate and complete information is obtained for each waste stream
  • Ensure adequate supporting information is gathered regarding the waste stream and enter the information in system
  • Ensure information entered into system is accurate and non-duplicative of existing information
  • Handle discrepancies with orders and pickups
  • Maintain a high degree of organization
  • Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Complete annual HAZMAT training in accordance with 40 CFR 265.16(d)(3)
  • Perform other functions as trained, requested and instructed by supervision
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality regarding customer, and all company operations

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of basic waste designation and DOT requirements for management of hazardous materials and waste
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team environment, including with other departments
  • Ability to work normal business hours with flexibility for overtime
  • Ability to multitask to meet numerous response times and deadline
  • Strong, demonstrable communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and problem-solving ability with guidance
  • Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Projects)
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
