SUMMARY

We are seeking an individual to fill a position as a Technical Admin Assistant with a local company here in Spokane WA.

JOB SUMMARY:  Operates computer-aided design (CAD) systems and peripheral equipment, and performs a wide range of complex technical tasks in design and drafting to assist engineers in creating and sustaining products. Perform back-up of Configuration Control engineering change request review, approval and data entry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

  • Designs mechanical and electrical components, laser and ink printed labels and final assemblies based on engineering practices and principles for review and approval by Engineering staff.
  • Reviews customer provided data to determine design requirements (dimensions, tolerances, compliance, graphic requirements etc.).
  • Creates mechanical and/or electrical drawings, inspection drawings, specification and assembly drawings for all levels of product requirements, for review and approval by Engineering and Design staff.
  • Creates label and PCB laser etch inspection drawings for all levels of product requirements, for review and approval by Engineering and Design staff.
  • Constructs bill of material, item masters and defines necessary materials for accurate data entry into the corporate MRP system.
  • Confers with engineering and design staff and actively contributes ideas and suggestions to determine design modifications and enters editing information into computer.
  • Writes engineering change notices to change drawings and bills of materials.
  • Perform on-line research to identify and obtain mechanical dimensions of components and assemblies.
  • Perform on-line research to obtain compliance logo artwork.
  • Design and manipulate graphic artwork for product and shipping label creation.
  • Design and manipulate graphic artwork for laser etch label creation on printed circuit boards.
  • Assists in evaluation, maintenance, and updating of design tools.
  • Inspects accuracy of own work as well as co-worker’s designs.
  • Provides quotes for new products and orders.

OTHER FUNCTIONS 

  • Attends meetings as needed to support organization activity.
  • Interfaces with customers as required.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.
