Technical Assistant – Peachtree City, GA

6 month contract

Exciting opportunity for someone with a Four-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Arts/Design, or Technical writing preferred OR a combination of education and applicable experience.

Volt Workforce Solutions is proud to partner with a client who is recognized as a top 20 global supplier by Automotive News to some of the world’s leading vehicle makers to help define the future of transportation.  This is a 6 month contract as a Technical Assistant in their Peachtree City, GA location.

As an experienced Technical Assistant, you will provide technical administrative support for the design, production, and communication of media, documentation, proposals, and technical information for use with executive-level management activities.

• Provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests, and performing other functions such as managing calendars, organizing workshops, scheduling travel and handling expenses reports
• Creates media and documentation for use in Management Reviews. Prepares technical reports, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text and easy-to-understand infographics.
• Assists executives and management personnel with technical reports, providing data to information conversion through the use of various publishing software and platforms. This could be in the form of documents, presentations, graphics, web pages, and videos
• Manages the Quality Portal and creates the information in pillar format to ensure real time exposure of activities in the Quality Organization.
• Creates storyboards and outlines, to assist internal teams in the creation and management of information and communications.
• Develops training materials based on audience and requestor’s needs, for use with Learning Management Systems and/or classroom instruction
• Reviews and approves material for standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
• Reviews and approves edits or changes made to technical material and media prepared by other writers or personnel.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on the use of media creation software and tools. Trains other quality personnel in the creation of media and technical reports.
• Assists with the execution of management reviews, meetings, and communications, developing materials and media suitable for delivery with available communication platforms.  Addresses technical issues as appropriate to ensure smooth presentation and delivery of materials via Skype, Webex, HD Video, and websites.

  • Creates company-branded documents, reports, and media following established guidelines
  • Performs research on processes and converts that to Process Flow diagrams as well written procedures


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Arts/Design, or Technical writing preferred OR a combination of education and applicable experience.
  • Expert Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in media creation and video production
  • Proficiency in creation and distribution of Technical Reports and Infographics
  • Proficiency in presentation, teaching/training, and public speaking
    Preferred:
  • Direct experience with the creation and presentation of Technical Reports and Presentations
  • Experience with branded-publications
  • Previous work experience in a cross-cultural, international environment.
  • Experience with media production software (Audio/Visual)
