Job Description

We are looking for Direct Hire candidate with experience with silkscreen and hot stamp. This position is for second shift, which is from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.                                                                          

Job Title   : Mechanic Technician

JOB OBJECTIVE OR OVERALL PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Technician provides all necessary mechanical, technical, and maintenance needs of the department.  They make the required equipment changeovers, equipment repairs, and continuous improvements essential to make the department as efficient as possible.  This position requires continuous personal improvement to keep pace with technological advances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.

  • Responsibilities of Silkscreen/Hot Stamp Technician (SHST) include, but are not limited to, set up silkscreen, hot stamp and banding machines, lining and jar assembly machines, maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance of deco department machines and auxiliary equipment. Test equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or sub assemblies.

  • The SHST will be responsible for diagnosis of print quality, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical problems accurately.An industrial mechanic background is required.This position requires understanding Silkscreen and hot stamping process.Anyone in this position must work closely with operators and Q.A. representatives.The SHST will occasionally lift items up to approximately 30 pounds.This position requires excellent communication and math skills.The SHST must be able to work well in a team atmosphere.Anyone in this position may be required to perform additional tasks as required by the supervisor.

  • Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.

  • Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.

  • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.

Education and/or Experience:                                                 

High School Diploma or technical school; work experience and/ or training may be substituted or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:                                                           

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.

Mathematical Skills:                                                  

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
