Volt Workforce Solutions has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking candidates for the Test Engineer. position for our client in the Midwest.

The team of engine performance engineers supplied by Consultant will perform the following tasks:

Engine performance analysis that includes:  

  1. Gathering engine performance, engine parameters and emissions data;
  2. Documenting engine performance data;
  3. Reviewing statistical trends in data;
  4. Optimizing engine control maps and strategies;
  5. Performing engine simulation and data matching to ensure data quality;
  6. Determining heat rejection and altitude capability;
  7. Planning, organizing and supporting multiple test activities daily;
  8. Applying Client engine simulation techniques to optimize fuel system, air system, and other performance related systems;
  9. Evaluating new engine concepts via simulation or test or both as needed;
  10. Assisting Client with engine and test cell problem resolutions;
  11. Improving the rating development process;
  12. Conduct ratings reviews with customers;
  13. Participating in monthly goals which includes a monthly target for completing test projects along with achieving budget goals;
  14. Transferring project related tasks to Client team in India as required upon approval from Client;
  15. Identifying safety improvement opportunities and implementing as approved by Client;
  16. Transferring daily tasks to next shift by summarizing daily test results verbally and in written; and
  17. Providing engine performance data review of test cells by utilizing Client’s standard calibration engine software.

(b)   The team of engine performance analysts will meet the following requirements:

  1. Knowledge and experience with engine controls, fuel systems, after treatment systems, air system, along with a working knowledge of the related development tools and data acquisition equipment;
  2. Thorough understanding of engine operation and development including performance and emissions, both steady state and transient, and experience with the latest engine technologies;
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group;
  4. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot;
  5. Ability to learn quickly and retain pertinent information;
  6. Ability to concisely and accurately communicate technical information; and
  7. Are fluent in English.
