Test Engineer Manager (Direct-hire)
Richardson, TX

Volt has partnered with a growing client of ours in search of a Test Engineer Manager. Our client manufactures and markets high performance RF and mixed signal integrated circuits for the communications markets that connect, protect and power the world. The successful candidate will lead engineering test teams in Richardson, Texas and other potential US sites supporting product development for a diverse set of RF/Microwave/millimeter wave product lines, including MMICs, packaged devices, modules and systems. These product lines support a wide variety of markets, including 5G and LTE cellular infrastructure, Broadband communications, Defense and Aerospace. The candidate must be familiar with RF and microwave theory as well as analog circuits with demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams of Test Engineers and Technicians.


  • Plan workload allocation to team members
  • Plan and assist team to ensure completion of assigned test projects to meet schedule goals
  • Monitor and report project progress to internal customers on regular basis
  • Develop and implement mid- and long-term plans for test solutions continuous improvement
  • Overseeing system installation, maintenance and testing activities
  • Manage root cause analysis of test related, technical problems and provide corrective actions
  • Identify and plan test solutions to reduce cycle time and increase measurement accuracy
  • Research the latest developments in RF testing techniques and technologies
  • Create and maintain expense and yearly capital budget


The candidate must demonstrate appropriate time management, task tracking, organizational skills, and ability to understand and follow requirements. Candidate should be very familiar with load-pull testing, s-parameter, pulsed IV, and noise parameter testing. Experienced using modern RF test equipment such as RF sources, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers (PNA/PNA-X), power meters and more

Required Education & Experience:

BS in Electrical Engineering from accredited college or university plus 5 or more years of direct experience
